Farewell Puerto Rico Mission 2014 Accomplished!

Mission Accomplished! We came, we saw and we served! The last few hours in San Juan were spent relaxing and reflecting on what we've experienced.  Students and faculty shared their reflections by recording video testimonials for a later showing at RTCA.  El Presidente Reece Marcelle of the RTCA student body expressed gratitude to the staff and chaperones on behalf of all the students.

RTCA Mission 2014 well done!

Fun in the Sun!

After days of mission service and cultural enrichment activities, RTCA 7th and 8th graders enjoyed a day of fun in the sun! We boarded the East Wind Catamaran and sailed to two island for swimming, snorkeling, and sun bathing :-)  Oh the iguana was not a passenger we saw him after we disembarked!

Goodbyes are never easy...

On our last day at the orphanage we sang (Jesus Loves the Little Children in Spanish and English), we prayed and we said our goodbyes... It its our prayer that our time invested at the orphanage left a deposit of God's love. Saying goodbye is never easy...what cant be expressed in words can be shared in a hug.

Helping Hands...Mission 2014

Many hands make for light work...in this instance the RTCA Missions delegation worked together to plant trees/flowers and sort/organize clothing items that were donated to the orphanage.  The Sisters/Nuns were grateful for our help and commented that our students did months of work n the few days that we were there! Indeed it's better to give than to receive!

Our group photo is with the Nuns/Missionaries that lead the orphanage.
